PVTIME – Recently, the Yangliu photovoltaic power generation project and other 4 solar plants located in Baoshan City, Yunnan Province, have been launched by China Energy Engineering Group Zhejiang Thermal Power Construction Co., Ltd. (Energy China ZTPC) and China Energy Engineering Group Yunnan Electric Power Design Institute Co., Ltd. (Energy China Yunnan).
These five solar projects are designed with a total power generation capacity of 1.038GW, which are planned to be connected to the grid in the year of 2022. Once upon completion, these solar plants are expected to supply 1.8 billion kWh electricity annually, equivalent to save about 5 million MT of standard coal.
Renewable energy project in Baoshan city plays significant role in economic and ecological development. It is not only electricity supplement to the city, but also protection of the local environment. The local government would like to support clean energy project to provide job opportunities, while fulfill the carbon neutrality goal.
