PVTIME – KSTAR, a global leader in R&D and manufacturing of UPS, PV and ESS solutions, recently announced that it will raise a fund of not more than 1,251,272,900 yuan (approximately 172 million US dollars) for the construction of production bases for photovoltaic inverters and energy storage converters, production bases for photovoltaic and storage system integration products, and the construction of the R&D centre in China.
The photovoltaic inverter and energy storage converter production bases in Shenzhen City, China, will be completed within three years with a total investment of 841,943,800 yuan. The project will have an annual production capacity of 30,000 string inverters, 600 central inverters, 100,000 residential energy storage converters, 3,000 commercial and industrial energy storage converters and 700 large-scale energy storage converters.
And the production bases for photovoltaic and storage system integration products, with a total investment of 366,561,600 yuan, will be located in Huizhou City, China. When completed after three years, it will produce 500 sets of photovoltaic boosters and inverters, 500 sets of energy storage boosters, 100 sets of container battery energy storage systems and 1,000 sets of outdoor cabinets every year.
In addition, an R&D centre will be built in Fuzhou City, China, with a total investment of 188,131,300 yuan. It is expected to be a first-class laboratory in the industry, and will make KSTAR a leader in innovative technology and products.
