PVTIME – Yingli Energy Development Co., Ltd. (Yingli Solar) has announced that it will supply 1.25GW of its PANDA series n-type TOPCon solar modules for the Saad 2 solar power project in Saudi Arabia. The project is part of the third round of photovoltaic project planning for the Saudi Public Investment Fund (PIF).

The Saad 2 PV project, developed by ACWA Power, a leading renewable energy developer in the Middle East, jointly executed by PowerChina Huadong and SEPCO, has a total installed capacity of 1.25 GW. Yingli Solar, a world-leading supplier of photovoltaic modules, is pleased to provide the project with its advanced technology and high-quality products.

This is another milestone Yingli Solar has achieved in the Middle East PV market with this project, following its participation in the 575 MW Ibri2 project in Oman and collaboration with ACWA Power and PowerChina Huadong.

The company will work with its partners to promote renewable energy growth in the Middle East and support the global energy transition. This project is expected to contribute to Saudi Arabia’s ‘Vision 2030’ and play a crucial role in the country’s clean energy future. Yingli’s PANDA n-type TOPCon technology is poised to become a major player in the PV market, offering efficient and reliable power generation solutions. Our goal is to increase our market share in the Middle East and contribute to global carbon neutrality,” stated Yin Xulong, Chairman of Yingli Solar.
