PVTIME – Arctech, the world’s leading provider of solar tracking, racking and BIPV, has announced that it will supply 1.5GW of SkyLine II solar tracking solutions for the ASB project in Saudi Arabia.
This particular project is located in the Al Shubakh district, Jeddah City, Mecca, Saudi Arabia, with a total installed capacity of 2.6GW, making it the largest photovoltaic power plant project currently under construction in the Middle East as part of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 new energy plan.
It is Arctech’s first solar tracking and racking project in Saudi Arabia and a milestone in its growing participation in the Middle East’s energy transition, following a number of PV projects in the region, including the 607MW IBRI II project in Oman and the 2.1GW Al Dhafra PV2 PV project in Abu Dhabi, UAE in 2021. Arctech’s offices in Saudi Arabia and the UAE have been established to better serve local customers with clean solar energy.
