(Akcome, 002610.SZ), a leading provider of full lifecycle operation services for high-efficiency solar cells, modules and power plants, recently announced its plan to establish a manufacturing base focused on R&D and production of HJT and perovskite tandem solar cells in Hangzhou City, China.
The new facility, which will be initiated by Zhejiang Aikang Future Technology Co., Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Akcome, will be completed in three phases with a total investment of 1 billion yuan (US$140 million). In the first phase, a 150 million yuan (US$20.97 million) research centre for the development of HJT and perovskite tandem solar cells is planned. The second phase will include a pilot production line with an estimated investment of 250 million yuan (US$34.93 million). Finally, a mass production line will be built in the third phase, with an investment of 600 million yuan (US$83.88 million).
