PVTIME – On 28 May 2024, Renshine Solar, a developer of perovskite solar cells, has signed a cooperation agreement with the local government of Changshu City, Jiangsu Province, China, for the construction of a large-scale perovskite solar cell production base.
The project will involve research, development and production of GW-scale perovskite solar cells, with a total investment of 1 billion yuan. And the output value is estimated at 2 billion yuan per year.
As a leading developer of perovskite solar cells, Renshine Solar has recently achieved 18.4% conversion efficiency in steady-state MPPT on its large 1200mm*600mm single-junction perovskite module from its new 150MW production line. The new breakthrough has been certified by the Chinese National Institute of Metrology. This special production line has been in operation since January 2024. It aims to achieve mass production of 1.2m*0.6m perovskite modules with 20% efficiency by mid-2024, and the Gagawatt-scale production lines will further expand its capacity.
