PVTIME – Qiya Silicon Co., a subsidiary of Sichuan Qiya Group, recently announced the completion of the first phase of its high-purity silicon production facility in China.
The first phase of the project aims to produce 100,000 tonnes of high-purity silicon per year, with an investment of more than 9 billion yuan. And the second phase was launched on 1 August 2023 to achieve production capacity of 100,000 tonnes of high-purity silicon in October 2024.
These projects are part of Qiya’s silicon manufacturing base with a planned capacity of 400,000 tonnes of high-purity silicon and a total investment of 32 billion yuan.
