PVTIME – In a major development for the clean energy landscape, a 1000MW photovoltaic power generation project in Qapqal Xibe Autonomous County, China, celebrated its groundbreaking ceremony on 27 March. This momentous occasion marks a significant step forward in accelerating the growth of the new energy industry, optimising the energy mix and driving the local economy towards a green transformation.
The project will employ state-of-the-art integrated wind, solar and energy storage technologies. The overall aim is to create a highly efficient, clean and sustainable energy supply infrastructure. Once operational, it will significantly increase the share of clean energy in the region, reduce carbon emissions and leave a lasting mark on both environmental conservation and economic progress.
With a total investment of approximately 3 billion yuan, the project is expected to generate an annual output value of 350 million yuan. After production, it is expected to create around 150 jobs in the surrounding area. In addition, the implementation of this project will set a new standard for the new energy sector in Qapqal. It is likely to attract other green energy initiatives, further enhancing the optimisation and upgrading of the regional economic structure.
