PVTIME – CGN Nuclear Technology Development Co., Ltd.(CGNNT, 000881.SZ), a China-based company mainly engaged in manufacturing electron accelerators, providing electron beam processing services and supplying modified polymer materials, announced on 24 January 2024 that it had installed a total of more than 100GW of renewable energy in 2023.
CGNNT has been vigorously developing nuclear, wind, light, storage and other clean energy sources, which have made positive contributions to the achievement of China’s Dual Carbon Goals and global net carbon targets. In 2023, CGNNT connected electricity of 333.8 TWh, an increase of 23.4TWh over the previous year. Newly installed clean energy capacity exceeded 100GW, saving more than 100 million tonnes of standard coal consumption, and carbon dioxide emission reduction exceeded 260 million tonnes, with environmental benefits equivalent to planting 7,510 square kilometres of forest.
