PVTIME – Recent data indicates that the cumulative installed PV solar power capacity in Germany has recently reached 100GW.

The German Federal Network Agency (Bundesnetzagentur) has reported that Germany installed approximately 1.12GW of new PV in January 2025, which represents a slight decrease compared to approximately 1.6GW in January 2024 and 1.82GW in December 2024.
Of the newly installed solar power capacity in January 2025, 19.3MW was attributable to balcony PV systems, with a further 756MW coming from rooftop PV installations. Meanwhile, 237.5MW was contributed by ground-mounted PV projects, and 13MW by other types.At the end of December 2024, the cumulative installed capacity in Germany had reached 100.8GW.
According to the updated data, Germany added approximately 16.73GW in 2024.
