PVTIME – The first phase of AIKO’s solar cell and module factory has recently become operational, rolling out the first high-efficiency n-type ABC module.
As the most advanced 4.0 smart factory, AIKO’s new facility uses digital and intelligent processing and management systems to produce high-efficiency and reliable solar products. It also adopts a series of environmentally friendly measures, including 100% clean power, 90% water recycling and more than 30% waste heat recycling, setting a new benchmark for green manufacturing in the PV industry.
The first phase, with an estimated investment of 9.978 billion yuan, will be fully operational in the second half of 2025. The new factory, with a designed production capacity of 30GW of ABC solar products per year, will be completed between 2024 and 2029, and is AIKO’s third manufacturing base for solar cell and module production, following the first in Zhuhai City and the second in Yiwu City, China.
Upon completion, the entire project is expected to generate a large amount of output value, tax payments and jobs for local people, as well as attract a large number of professionals who will congregate locally and drive the development of the PV solar-related industry.
