PVTIME – On 25 February 2024, AIKO, a leading provider of sustainable energy solutions, announced that it will invest in a solar cell and module production base in Jinan City, China.
AIKO has signed a contract with the local government to start the first phase of a solar cell and module production base with an estimated total investment of 9.978 billion yuan. The project is expected to be constructed in the first quarter of 2024 and to be operational in the first half of 2025. Once operational, it will have a production capacity of 10GW of high-efficiency n-type ABC solar cells and 10GW of solar modules.
