PVTIME – Grace Solar has announced that construction of a customer’s 10MW ground mounted power station in Taiwan is underway.
With Taiwan being subject to seismic activity and having a subtropical monsoon climate with high levels of humidity and salinity, there is naturally a requirement for photovoltaic support products to have enhanced shock and corrosion resistance.
Over ten years of experience has given Grace Solar industry leading R&D and program design capabilities, enabling it to deliver projects in Japan as well as Taiwan, both having similar climatic and topographical conditions.
Based on the above, the company was able to customize a high-corrosion protection solution, tested by a TAF-approved laboratory, using special coating technology so that the surface treatment thickness of a substrate can meet the highest level of anti-corrosion requirements. A ‘parallel needles’ design addresses the additional need for higher wind and earthquake resistance.
The project is mainly located in Kaohsiung and Pingtung, and is expected to be completed in September.
