PVTIME – On 18 March 2024, the construction of a PV new materials production base in China’s Liaoning Province will begin, initiated by Liaoning Dingjide Petrochemical Co., Ltd. (Dingjide, 603255.SH), a high-tech company engaged in the research, development, production and sale of catalysts, electron donors, antioxidants, composite antioxidants and other polyolefin additives.
The project was announced in December 2022 and is expected to be completed in two phases within five years. The first phase is designed to produce 200,000MT of POE, 300,000MT of α-olefins per year and 400Nm3/h of hydrogen from electrolytic water. The second phase will add production capacity of 200,000MT of POE and 250,000MT of carbonate ester per year.
In November 2023, the total investment was increased from 10 billion yuan to 12 billion yuan, and in December 2023, Dingjide proposed to raise 750 million yuan for the POE production project.
