13.3 Billion Yuan! LONGi Green Energy to Launch 46GW Silicon Material Project and 10GW Module Project, and H1 2022 Report Updated

PVTIME – LONGi Green Energy Technology Co., Ltd. released an announcement on August 24 that it intends to invest 10.75 billion yuan in monocrystalline silicon rod and wafer project with an annual output of 46GW in Ordos, Inner Mongolia of China. And it plans to invest in another 2.52 billion yuan for monocrystalline module project with an annual output of 10GW in Wuhu City, Anhui Province of China.

These projects are expected to enhance LONGi’s profitability and competitiveness in the solar energy market with further increasing its production capacity of PV products.

What is more, the semi-annual report for the first half of 2022 has been disclosed by LONGi Green Energy on the same day. The operating income of the company for the H1 2022 was 50.417 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 43.64%. Its net profit attributable to shareholders of the listed company was 6.481 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 29.79%, of which the net profit attributable to shareholders of the listed company after deducting non-recurring gains and losses was 6.405 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 30.58%. And the comprehensive gross profit margin was 17.61% while the weighted average return on equity was 12.64%.

According to the report, its shipment of monocrystalline silicon wafers in H1 2022 reached 39.62GW, of which 20.15GW was for external sales and 19.47GW for self-use. Meanwhile, the shipment of monocrystalline modules was 18.02GW, of which 17.70GW was for external sales and 0.32GW was for the company’s own use.
