PVTIME – NuVision Solar, a new American-owned and operated solar cell and module manufacturing company, has officially entered the increasingly crowded North American market with the recent announcement of plans to build a 2.5GW heterojunction (HJT) solar cell and module manufacturing facility in West Palm Beach, Florida, USA.
NuVision expects to begin module production by the fourth quarter of 2025, creating more than 500 direct jobs. NuVision will offer 800W bifacial modules with a 35-year performance warranty and a 20-year product warranty to the utility, large commercial and residential markets.
According to NuVision, the company’s modules will meet US localisation requirements, allowing end users to qualify for an additional 10% incentive under the Inflation Reduction Act.
Dr Tom Mueller, NuVision Solar’s Chief Technology Officer, said that heterojunction technology allows NuVision Solar to achieve superior cell efficiency and consistently high performance over a wide range of conditions. By incorporating these advanced cells into our modules, NuVision Solar is improving the overall performance of the system, delivering more power over the life of the project and ultimately providing better value to its customers.
