PVTIME – Sineng Electric Co., Ltd. (300827.SZ), a leading supplier of PV and energy storage inverters, has recently signed a contract to supply 2.6GW of PV inverters for the PIF4 utility-scale solar power plants in Saudi Arabia under the country’s NREP.
Sineng Electric will supply 2.6GW of inverters for two sub-projects within the PIF4 project, the Haden and Al-Khushaybi projects, with a total installed capacity of 3GW. The Haden solar power plant, with a capacity of approximately 1.2GW, is contracted by the China Energy Engineering Group consortium and will use 1GW of Sineng inverters. The 1.8GW Al-Khushaybi power plant project is contracted by L&T (Larsen & Toubro) of India and will use 1.6GW of Sineng’s inverters. Sineng Electric’s 8.8MW centralised inverter booster, which has a larger grid capacity, can respond quickly to grid scheduling in the region’s high temperatures and sandy winds throughout the year.
