PVTIME – JA Solar Technology Co., Ltd. (JA Solar)(002459.SZ) is expanding its production capacity by investing 2.715 billion yuan to construct a high-efficiency solar cell project with a capacity of 5GW in Vietnam. This project will leverage cutting-edge cell technology, as announced on 31 August 2023.
According to the announcement, this project in Vietnam will utilize state-of-the-art cell technology. And this added capacity is expected to meet the demand for high-efficiency photovoltaic products in the overseas market after the project is completed within 10 months. This, in turn, will boost JA Solar’s market share and profitability, aligning with the company’s strategic development plan.
