PVTIME – On 4 January 2024, Wuxi Autowell Technology Co., Ltd. (Autowell, 688516.SH), a well-known automation equipment manufacturer in the photovoltaic and lithium-ion battery industry, announced that it has bagged two scratching and welding machine orders from Trina Solar and its subsidiary with a total price of 210 million yuan (29.295 million US dollars) including tax.
Autowell has signed a contract with Trina Solar for the supply of scribing and welding machines at a price of 97 million yuan (13.53 million US dollars) including tax. And a wholly-owned subsidiary of Autowell has received an order from Trina Solar US Manufacturing Module 1, LLC for the supply of scribing and welding machines for the manufacture of PV products at a price of 113 million yuan (15.76 million US dollars) including tax.
It is expected to be accretive to Autowell’s operating results in 2024, although the average equipment acceptance cycle is 6-9 months.
