26.12%! China Huaneng Achieves High PCE on Large Perovskite-Si Tandem Solar Cell

PVTIME – Recently, China Huaneng (China Huaneng Group Co., Ltd.) achieved a high power conversion efficiency of 26.12% on its self-developed large-size perovskite silicon tandem cell, and the result was certified by a third-party testing institution.

The new breakthrough was initiated by China Huaneng’s research institution and its perovskite technology R&D team.

As one of the first power companies in China to conduct R&D on perovskite solar technology, after more than ten years of research, China Huaneng has established a systematic and perfect platform for R&D, pilot testing and analysis of perovskite cells, mastered the technology of large-area high-efficiency perovskite and tandem solar modules, and taken the lead in the application of perovskite photovoltaic technology, carried out the verification of kilowatt-scale solar systems using perovskite modules in various scenarios, and built the first megawatt-scale solar system using large-scale perovskite products in overseas.

With a wide range of applications, perovskite and tandem solar modules can be applied to central PV power plants, PV building integration and portable charging. In the future, China Huaneng will continue to push forward the innovation and breakthrough of perovskite PV technology, and make more contributions to energy structure transformation and green development.
