26.7%! Jolywood Sets New Record for M10 N-Type TOPCon Cell

PVTIME – Jolywood (Suzhou) Sunwatt Co., Ltd. (300393.SZ), a leading manufacturer of n-type bifacial solar modules based on TOPCon technology, recently announced that it has achieved a major technical breakthrough for its n-type TOPCon solar cell. The company has set a new record with the maximum solar conversion efficiency of 26.7% for its n-type TOPCon M10 (182mm) solar cell based on its J-TOPCon3.0 POPAID technology, and the result has been confirmed by the National Institute of Metrology (NIM), China on 7 April 2023.

Jolywood’s proprietary POPAID (Plasma Oxidation and Plasma Assisted In-Situ Doping) technology has been applied to the n-type TOPCon cell to overcome the shortcomings of similar doped amorphous silicon technologies. Meanwhile, the R&D department has developed a series of cutting-edge technologies, such as wafer body impurity removal, polysilicon layer paste in selected areas, polysilicon film hydrogen content control, new metal damage repair and ultra-fine grid line printing, which have been integrated into the mass production process of the n-type TOPCon cell to achieve this new record of maximum conversion efficiency of 26.7%, which is crucial for further improving the efficiency of the TOPCon cell in mass production.

This new record, following the highest conversion efficiency of 26.1% for solar cells announced by Jolywood in November 2022, encourages the company to achieve its goal of mass production with Technology 3.0, as Jolywood has been setting new world records for cell conversion efficiency in n-type PERT and TOPCon cells for many years, leading the industry with its advanced processes, mass production speed and product quality.
