PVTIME – On May 8, 23 groundbreaking ceremonies were hold for the start of a series of major projects in different cities in Ningxia Province, China, with a total investment of 330.8 billion yuan, and 103 new energy projects were included. CHINT Group participated one of the ceremonies taken place in a Renewable Energy Base.
This particular Renewable Energy Base (6GW) mainly engages on the manufacture of equipment for renewable energy industry, and is invested by CHINT Group with a total amount of 29.3 billion yuan. In addition to that, CHINT launched a 5GW solar power generation project this time in Ningxia Province.
NAN Cunhui, chairman of CHINT Group, who attended the ceremony, stated that CHINT has a goal of 100 billion yuan investment in Ningxia Province. CHINT would like to further invest in silicon material, silicon rod slices, solar cells and other PV products with cooperators to complete the photovoltaic production chain in Ningxia Province, where is known as the first comprehensive demonstration zone of new energy in China, with supporting policies, resources and many other advantages for the development of renewable energy.
