PVTIME – Recently, the second phase of a solar module manufacturing project was launched in the Xinjiang region of China.
This second phase aims to produce 2GW of solar modules per year with a total investment of 400 million yuan (approximately US$56 million). Once completed in October 2024, it will generate an annual output of 2 billion (approximately US$280 million).
In the first phase of the project, production capacity of 1GW of solar modules and 1GW of mounting systems was achieved in June 2024.
This particular project was initiated by a subsidiary of Haitai Solar, also known as Tangshan Haitai New Energy Technology, a provider of renewable energy solutions.
