PVTIME – On 1 December 2023, GCL System Integration Technology Co., Ltd. (GCLSI, 002506.SZ), a leading renewable energy service provider, announced that it will purchase 3.5GW of 425,500,000 pieces of silicon wafers from GCL Suzhou, and the two sides have signed a contract for this.
The total contract value is estimated at 1 billion yuan (including tax), and the exact prices will be negotiated monthly according to the market. The silicon wafers will be used for the first phase of GCL’s 10GW high-efficiency solar cell manufacturing project, which was commissioned in October 2023.
