3 Billion Yuan! LONGi to Launch 15GW Solar Module Project in Wuhu City of China

PVTIME – On December 7, the Management Committee of Wuhu Economic Development Zone has sighed a cooperation agreement for 15GW monocrystalline solar module project with LONGi Leye Photovoltaic Technology Co., Ltd. A wholly-owned subsidiary of LONGi Green Energy Technology Co., Ltd. (601012.SH)(LONGi) the PV giant.

The company will invest and construct the module project in Wuhu City, Anhui Province of China with an estimated investment of 3 billion yuan. It will be completed and put into production with 6 months, and reach production capacity within 24 months.

This particular project is the second phase of a module project signed in May 2022. The first phase is expected to be put into production in the Q2 of 2023. And the annual sales revenue will be approximately 36 billion yuan while the annual tax payment will reach 1 billion yuan once upon completion of the whole project. Moreover, 4,000 jobs will be offered to local people.

The two sides would like to conduct in-depth exchanges on strengthening cooperation in the new energy industry chain, encouraging scientific and technological innovation and researches, to achieve the Dual Carbon goals.
