PVTIME – On 9 May 2023, Tongwei Co., Ltd. and the Darhan Muminggan Joint Banner People’s Government held a signing ceremony for a 300,000 tonne renewable materials project.
The two sides have agreed to jointly promote the energy transition and renewable production project in Darhan Muminggan Joint Banner, Inner Mongolia, China, as well as to achieve the local low carbon target.
The project will expand Tongwei’s business into the upstream of the PV industry. And a new company with a registered capital of 10 million yuan has been set up to handle the project. The main business of the new company includes non-coal mining, common non-ferrous metal smelting, photovoltaic equipment and product manufacturing, etc.
