PVTIME – PV giant LONGi has recently released its performance figures for the first half of 2024.
In the reporting period, LONGi generated revenue of 38.529 billion yuan (approximately $5.42 billion). Additionally, the company’s wafer shipment volume reached 44.44GW, with 21.96GW sold. The sales volume of solar cells reached 2.66GW, while the shipment volume of modules reached 31.34GW.
The company’s core technology, HPBC, has made significant progress. The Hi-MO 9 has reached a conversion efficiency of 24.43% in mass production, representing a 30W improvement over TOPCon modules of the same size. LONGi currently holds 3,166 authorised patents, with nearly 200 of these relating to B-technology.
It is estimated that the production capacity of BC products will reach 70GW per year, of which 50GW will be for HPBC 2.0, by the end of 2025. Furthermore, all of its solar cell manufacturing bases within China will be upgraded to produce BC products by the end of 2026.
