PVTIME – JinkoSolar, one of the world’s largest and most innovative solar module manufacturers, announced on 11 October that it has signed a supply agreement with ACWA Power, the world’s largest private water desalination company and a pioneer in the green energy transition, to supply solar modules for the Saudi PIF4 project.
Under the agreement, JinkoSolar will supply TOPCon solar modules for two sub-projects within the PIF4 project, the Haden and Al-Khushaybi projects, with a total capacity of 3GW. The Haden solar power plant, with a capacity of approximately 1.2GW, is contracted by the China Energy Engineering Group Consortium and will use JinkoSolar’s high-efficiency N-type Tiger Neo Series 78 photovoltaic modules. The Al-Khushaybi power plant project, with a capacity of 1.8GW, is contracted by L&T of India and will use JinkoSolar’s latest N-type Tiger Neo Series 66 photovoltaic modules.
The two sides have established a close cooperative and trustworthy partnership for many years. In recent years, they have jointly completed several photovoltaic projects with more than 10GW of modules supplied, accumulating experience and successful case studies. Both sides are very pleased to cooperate in the renewable energy business and promote the deployment of solar power projects in the MENA region. Earlier this year, JinkoSolar and ACWA Power signed a comprehensive package of framework cooperation agreements to collaborate on photovoltaic projects worldwide.
