PVTIME – On 15 December 2023, Zhejiang Akcome New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. (Akcome, 002610.SZ), a leading provider of full life cycle operation services for high-efficiency solar cells, modules, and power stations, announced its intention to launch an HJT solar cell production base through its subsidiary Akcome Ganzhou.
The total investment for the new project is 2.1 billion yuan. The project aims to increase the production capacity of HJT cells to meet Akcome’s customers’ demands. Currently, there are 2.95GW of HJT orders waiting for delivery, yet Akcome’s production capacity is unable to meet the demand. Akcome can currently produce a total of 3.2GW of HJT cells, 0.8GW of PERC cells, and 10.5GW of modules per year from its four production bases in Suzhou, Ganzhou, Huzhou, and Zhoushan Cities of China.
