PVTIME – Astronergy, a Tier-1 PV module manufacturer, recently contributed to the completion of a 400MW Solar+Grazing integrated project in Tongren, Qinghai, China. As one of the core module suppliers for this project, Astronergy provided 240MW of its high-efficiency ASTRO Series modules with excellent efficiency, enhanced reliability, and high adaptability to diverse environmental conditions, especially high-altitude conditions.
The project is located in the plateau area with an average altitude of over 3,400 meters and covering an area of 666.67 hectares. It is remarkable not only for its scale but also for its innovative “Solar+Grazing” complementary model. This combination significantly enhances the comprehensive utilization of land resources while effectively alleviating the electricity pressure on the local grid at the same time and optimizing the local energy structure with renewable energy. The project serves as a perfect example to showcase the harmonious coexistence between solar power and grazing activities.
It is estimated that this project will generate 770 million kWh of clean energy for Tongren City and its surrounding areas annually after the grid connection. This is equivalent to reducing coal consumption by around 240,000 tons per year and cutting annual carbon emissions by 1.93 million tons, SO2 by 58,000 tons, and nitrogen oxides by 30,000 tons.
Astronergy is committed to driving the transition to clean energy globally and will continue to collaborate on solar projects that can promote sustainable development.
