PVTIME – In June 2024, AVANTAG Energy s.à r.l. has finished a new photovoltaic system on the roof of one big logistics property in Günzburg. With an impressive annual electricity production of around 5.660kWp, this system in Günzburg will cover the entire energy needs of the new site for building technology and electric vehicles. But that’s not all: the surplus energy is marketed as an off-site PPA (Power Purchase Agreement). This means that the electricity generated is fed into the public grid and is directly allocated to the companies consuming the electricity via balancing groups.
The first phase of 299.3kWp was installed on this roof in 2023:
In 2024, AVANTAG Energy s.à r.l. installed the second phase of the 5.07877MW new project on the same roof with 12238PCS UL-415M-108HV modules from Ulica Solar, and thanks to the financing partner DKB Bank, the construction was successfully completed in June 2024 and will be connected to the grid in November 2024.
“We pride ourselves on not only providing our tenants with world-class logistics facilities, but also sustainable solutions for their energy needs,” said the client’s managing partner. “The installation of photovoltaic systems is an important step towards a greener future and underlines our commitment to environmental protection and sustainability. We remain committed to finding innovative ways to improve our environmental footprint and make a positive contribution to sustainable development. The installation of new 5.07877MW photovoltaic systems on logistics properties is just one example of our commitment to a greener future”.
