5GW! Sunova Solar to Launch HJT and Energy Storage Projects in Jiangsu Province of China

PVTIME – Sunova Solar, a Tier 1 global energy solutions company, has signed an agreement to construct a HJT and energy storage project in Wuxi City, Jiangsu Province of China. Sunova Solar designs and manufactures clean renewable energy components, including photovoltaic modules, inverters, and solar battery storage solutions.

The project is the second phase of a larger initiative. This second phase is scheduled to launch in 2024, become operational in 2026, and reach full operation in 2028, to reach a production capacity of 5GW of HJT products, with a total investment of 2.05 billion yuan. The first phase of the project was completed in September 2021, with an investment of 2.05 billion yuan. It achieved a sales value of 2.05 billion yuan in 2022, followed by 2.2 billion yuan from January to November 2023, as well as a tax payment of 26 million yuan.

Sunova Solar operates three manufacturing factories in China and Vietnam, with a solar panel production capacity of 10GW. Meanwhile, Sunova is a one-stop PV supplier that offers energy storage and inverter products. Currently, the European market has access to the All in One Energy Storage System, while the South American market has widely adopted the micro inverter. Sunova plans to launch more PV system solutions in the future.
