6.17 Billion Yuan! 16GW Solar Cell +4GW Module Capacity to Be Added China

PVTIME – On 3 June 2024, a large-scale solar cell and module manufacturer project was approved by the Bureau of Ecology and Environment of Huainan City, Anhui Province, China.

The project was initiated by CHG EnSOL Renewable Technology Co., Ltd., a China-based group engaged in a range of activities, including low-carbon new energy, commercial operations, cultural education, smart logistics, health agriculture, property management, and investment. The total investment for the project is 6.17 billion yuan, with 104.25 million yuan allocated for environmental protection. The project will be completed in two phases. In the initial phase, a production capacity 8GW of high-efficiency solar cells per year will be installed, with a further 8GW and 4GW of solar cells and modules, respectively, planned for the subsequent phase.
