PVTIME – Recently, a 20GW HJT cells project has gone into operation in Xuzhou Economic & Technological Development Zone. The project is invested by Golden Solar Silicon Science & Technology (Xu Zhou) Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Golden Solar Xuzhou), a subsidiary of Golden Solar New Energy Technology Holdings Limited (01121.HK), specializing in the research, development and production of high efficiency Heterojunction with Intrinsic Thinlayer (“HJT”) cells.
The total investment of the project is 600 million US dollars. It is expected that most construction work will be completed in June 2022, and gradually put into operation in July, then fully put into operation in 2023. Upon the completion of the project, it is estimated that the production capacity for HJT materials would reach 20GW.
