PVTIME – Hubei Huitian New Materials Co., Ltd.(300041.SZ) announced on May 13 that it intended to build a new material industrial base with an annual output of 75,000 MT of lithium battery materials in Dingyuan County, Anhui Province.
The planned total investment of the base is about 600 million yuan. The fisrt phase of the project includes lithium battery electrode adhesive and special silicone resin with an annual output of 30,000 MT. And the second phase will engage on the lithium battery electrode adhesive and special silicone resin with an annual output of 45,000 MT as well as production workshops, R&D centers, pilot lines, office buildings and other supporting facilities.
According to the announcement, the company stated that the market size of lithium batteries has grown steadily in recently years, and the demand for adhesives for lithium batteries increased, due to the fast development of the new energy vehicle industry and energy storage industry. The company continues to increase the R&D investment and production layout of the lithium battery adhesive business, and expects its SBR (styrene-butadiene rubber) water-based adhesive, the main product of the new project, will bring benefits for the company in the future.
