PVTIME – Leascend Technology Co., Ltd. (Leascend/LPV HJT, 300051.SZ), a China-based company mainly engaged in the provision of software products and information technology (IT) services, recently announced that it will establish an HJT solar cell production base in Nantong City, Jiangsu Province, China.
The project will be completed in three phases with a total production capacity of 12GW and an estimated total investment of 7 billion yuan. The first phase, which is designed to produce 3GW of HJT cells, has now been approved with an investment of 2 billion yuan, of which 21.8 million yuan is for environmental protection, accounting for 1.09% of the investment.
Then the second phase with capacity of 3GW and the third with 6GW will be launched after the first is completed and operational, according to the general market.
