PVTIME – On November 17, the signing ceremony of the investment framework agreement for the JA Chaoyang Comprehensive New Energy Industry Base Project was held in virtual conferences at the Beijing headquarters of JA Solar and Chaoyang County, Chaoyang City, Liaoning Province.
According to the agreement, JA Solar will invest about 10 billion yuan in Chaoyang City, Liaoning Province, to build a 5GW photovoltaic module and supporting equipment manufacturing project in phases and batches, as well as a 2GW wind-solar power station large base project.
Jin Baofang, Chairman of JA Solar, said that as the world accelerates the process of carbon neutrality, the photovoltaic industry has ushered in a new period of development opportunities. The sunrise scenery is rich in resources and has natural advantages in the development of green new energy. JA Solar will accelerate the construction of Chaoyang’s new energy project, actively lead the development and utilization of Chaoyang’s new energy resources, and contribute to global green development.
Xie Weidong, the Chaoyang Mayor, said that JA Solar is in a leading position in China’s photovoltaic industry. The signing of this project is a milestone for the development and growth of Chaoyang’s new energy industry.
