¥13.2 Billion! Shuangliang to Invest in 40GW Silicon Project

PVTIME – Recently, Shuangliang Eco-Energy Systems Co., Ltd. (600481.SH) announced that it has singed a Cooperation Framework Agreement with People’s Government of Baotou City, Inner Mongolia Province, China, for the phrase II of a monocrystalline project.

Shuangliang planed to build a 40GW monocrystalline silicon project in Baotou in two phases. The first phase (20GW) has been completed and put into production in Baotou with a total investment of 7 billion yuan, and the annual output of 20GW of crystal pulling and 20GW of slicing have been completed.

The second phrase is expected to be completed in two years with a total investment of 6.2 billion yuan. Once the two phrases are all up to production, the annual output of monocrystalline silicon wafers is planned to be 40GW and to be used for photovoltaic power station which the power generation will exceed 60 billion kWh.

In the future, Shuangliang will continue to make efforts to promote the project, strive to complete and put it into production as soon as possible, and cooperate with Baotou City to build a whole industrial chain for silicon materials and solar modules, and make greater contributions to the high-quality economic development of Baotou City.
