Solar module manufacturer signs major Cooperation Agreement.
Munich 5th June 2012: Zhongli Talesun, a leading international producer of high-quality solar cells and modules has signed an agreement with the government of Qinghai,China’s largest province. The cooperation deal has a six year term and commits Talesun to developing solar farms in the region, at an annual volume of 150 MW.
The implementation of the six sub projects requires the annual approval of the Development and Reform Commission of Qinghai. Correspondingly, the individual project stages will be subject to ongoing modifications to the local feed-in tariffs. ”This agreement represents another important milestone for the company. It allows us, not only to expand our production, but also to increase our international competitiveness,” commented Baixing Wang, Chairman and founder of Talesun.
With the signing of the cooperation agreement, the solar module manufacturer, formed as recently as 2010, continues its strategy of rapid global growth. In April this year, Talesun won a 1gigawatt project with the China Merchants New Energy Group. This was followed by the successful agreement to provide some 130,000 modules for utility scale projects in New Jersey,USA, and the conclusion of a 23.8MW solar farm in southern Italy. Talesun is also active in Germany, where it is building strong partnerships with reputable firms in the Photovoltaic sector,including REWA Solar and Abele Solar Gebäudetechnik GmbH.
Talesun relies upon a fully automated manufacturing process. The company recently joined an elite group of three manufacturers worldwide to receive the quality mark of the VDE, the German Testing and Certification Institute, for its product-line TP660P. The China-based company’s state of the art production facility utilizes advanced machine technologies from European manufacturers, including Centrotherm, Rena and Baccini.
