PVTIME – LONGi and PetroChina, a Chinese oil and gas giant and a holding subsidiary of state-owned China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC), have joined forces to help accelerate the energy transition in Xinjiang of China by forming joint venture in Qiemo County on August 4, 2022.

This joint venture is set by a Xinjiang holding subsidiary (90%) of PetroChina and a wholly-owned Xian subsidiary (10%) of LONGi Green Energy Technology Co.,Ltd., with a registered capital of 165 million yuan. The new company is mainly engaged in power generation, power transmission, power supply (distribution), biomass gas production and supply, R&D of emerging energy technology, carbon emission reduction, carbon conversion, carbon capture, R&D of carbon storage technology, and solar power technology, etc.
