PVTIME – On 29 March 2023, JinkoSolar, one of the largest and most innovative solar module manufacturers in the world, has launched a high-efficiency solar cell and module production project in Yuhuan City, Zhejiang Province of China.
This project is jointly initiated by JinkoSolar and the People’s Government of Yuhuan City in September 2022, with a total investment of approximately 10 billion yuan, to achieve a production capacity of 10GW of high-efficiency solar cells and 30GW of modules per year.
It is estimated to reach an annual output of 70 billion yuan after the completion of its two phases, and is expected to form a new energy industry ecology with cell and module production as the core, covering silicon wafers, polysilicon, base film and related products, promoting the energy transformation of traditional industries.
