PVTIME – On 23 December 2023, Wuxi DK Electronic Materials Co., Ltd. (DKEM, 300842.SZ), a Chinese company mainly engaged in the research and development, production and sales of new electronic paste and other electronic materials, announced that it will expand its silver paste production capacity by setting up a new plant in Sichuan Province, China, with a total investment of 200 million yuan.
In order to further promote DKEM’s development and meet the demand for silver paste from the photovoltaic industry, a production base, R&D centre and related support facilities will be built to add an annual output of 2,000MT of conductive silver paste for solar cell production. The project is expected to be completed and operational within 12 months through a newly established wholly owned local subsidiary and the investment will be equity and self-funded.
DKEM is currently a leading supplier of conductive silver pastes for PV cells and has actively developed and promoted many products such as conductive adhesives for solar modules, packaging, semiconductor assembly materials and display lighting. DKEM’s conductive silver paste is used in the production of conventional mono/polycrystalline solar cells, black solar cells and PERC mono/polycrystalline solar cells, etc.
