PVTIME – ReneSola, a leading fully integrated solar project developer, has held a signing ceremony for a major PV manufacturing base in Yancheng City, Jiangsu Province, China.
This particular project is scheduled to start in March 2024 and be operational in July 2024. It is designed to reach a production capacity of 5GW of solar cells and 10GW of solar modules per year, with a total investment of 5 billion yuan.
The new project is an important part of ReneSola’s ram up plan, which will establish production bases in a number of regions, including Shandong Province, Henan Province and North America, to create a network to cover the solar energy industry around the world. It is expected to increase its scale efficiency and cost advantage through large-scale production, intelligent management and manufacturing to maintain its leading position in the renewable energy industry.
ReneSola has been on Bloomberg New Energy Finance’s list of top PV module manufacturers for 15 consecutive years, with cumulative global PV module shipments exceeding 25GW by the end of 2023.
