PVTIME – Recently, PV giant LONGi established a new subsidiary in Inner Mongolia, China, with a registered capital of 100 million yuan (approximately US$13.83 million).
The new company is wholly owned by LONGi and will be mainly engaged in manufacturing and selling photovoltaic equipment and components, manufacturing and selling solar cells, providing technology services including solar power generation, carbon emission reduction, carbon conversion, carbon capture, carbon sequestration and related research and development, etc.
In May 2024, the government of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region signed a framework agreement with LONGi. The two sides plan to work together on a new renewable energy manufacturing base to provide clean energy, in particular the construction of an R&D centre, the largest hydrogen hub in the Asia-Europe region, and a number of related projects.
