PVTIME – On 5 November 2024, Yingfa Ruineng, a subsidiary of Yingfa Group, a solar cell supplier, developer and manufacturer, signed an agreement with PV giant LONGi and the local government of Yinbin City, Sichuan Province, China, to jointly build a 16GW per year HPBC solar cell manufacturing base.
The new partnership will accelerate the mass production of high-efficiency HPBC cells, effectively advancing BC technology and promoting the technological upgrading of the PV industry. This large-scale solar cell production facility will be built in phases, with the first phase of 6GW capacity expected to be completed in 2025.
Meanwhile, the three parties will strengthen cooperation in the photovoltaic industry and cooperate extensively in the production and sales of HPBC cells and related technologies to realise complementary advantages and common development.
