PVTIME – Arctech Solar Holding Co., Ltd. (Arctech, 688408.SH), a leading manufacturer and supplier of intelligent solar trackers, fixed-tilt structures and BIPV systems for utility and commercial solar PV projects worldwide, has recently delivered the first batch of solar trackers for a 320MW PV plant in Buka, Uzbekistan, being built by China Datang.
Arctech Solar’s Sky II tracking system will be used in the Buka PV project. From the early stage of the project, the Arctech solar team actively cooperated with the owner and general contractor to carry out on-site planning, and then achieved high quality and efficient delivery by leveraging its global service network and supply chain.
The new project is expected to significantly alleviate Tashkent’s tight power supply and contribute to the local green energy transition. Upon completion of the Buka 320MWp PV project, annual power generation will reach 572,502MWh, saving approximately 163,000 tonnes of standard coal, reducing SO2 emissions by approximately 45 tonnes and CO2 emissions by approximately 448,000 tonnes per year.
With rapid economic and social development and strong demand for energy and electricity, Uzbekistan is actively promoting the transformation of its energy structure and accelerating the development of green and clean energy. To date, Arctech Solar has won a number of benchmark solar power projects in Uzbekistan, including 500MW in Sherabad, 240MW in Tashkent, etc., with a cumulative order of over 2.2GW.
