PVTIME – Recently, PowerChina (Guizhou) won the EPC contract for Round 5 of Saudi Arabia’s 1.75GW solar PV project in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, which means that the project will start construction very soon.
The Round 5 PV project is one of the four projects under the NREP, and Round 5 includes the 1.25GW MAS project and the 500MW AHK2 project, which will be jointly launched by EDF, SPIC, PowerChina and SINOHYDRO.
As one of the world’s richest regions in terms of solar energy resources, Saudi Arabia has unique natural conditions and its expanding photovoltaic industry offers unprecedented opportunities.
