PVTIME – a large-scale solar cell factory jointly initiated by JinkoSolar, one of the world’s largest and most innovative solar module manufacturers, and Suzhou Shijing Environmental Technology Co. (SJEF, 301030.SZ), a China-based company mainly engaged in the research, development, production and sale of environmental protection equipment, is nearing completion and will be operational in March 2025.

The new facility will produce 20GW of high-performance monocrystalline silicon wafers and 20GW of high-efficiency solar cells per year, and will be fully operational by 30 June 2025.

According to Shijing Environment Technology, a range of high-tech equipment and intelligent systems will ensure the mass production of reliable and high-performance solar products. Meanwhile, the factory is designed to be upgraded to meet the needs of technology upgrading and cost reduction over the next five years.
