PVTIME – On November 20, Jiangsu Runyang Yueda Photovoltaic Technology Co., Ltd. (hereafter referred to as “Runergy”) and S.C New Energy Technology Corporation (hereafter referred to as “S.C New Energy”) signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement for the development of a 30GW mono PERC+ and 5GW HJT project in Yancheng, Jiangsu Province. Both parties hope to use their respective advantages in the photovoltaic field to explore the advantages of joint cooperation in the field of high-efficiency PERC+ and HJT technology.
S.C New Energy will be responsible for the equipment design, manufacture, installation, commissioning, and after-sales support of the core cell manufacturing automation equipment that will be used for the project. Runergy will participate in equipment development, technical exchange, review of design schemes, application testing, and provide data feedback.
Through cooperation in technology, processes, equipment development, and after-sales services, the two parties will ensure that the project is among the most technologically advanced in the solar cell industry, and strive to reach average efficiency of higher than 24% for the PERC+ production line and 25% for the HJT production line.
Photovoltaic production equipment is a core link in realizing the industry’s large-scale development and grid parity, and the localization of the equipment is an important method to reduce the cost of PV investment. The cooperation between S.C and Runergy in equipment development will not only benefits cell production in terms of the equipment update, process optimization, and throughput improvement, but also help establish and improve Runergy’s supply chain coordination mechanism, and contribute to the efficiency increase and cost reduction of photovoltaic industry and earlier realization of grid parity.
