PVTIME – On December 9, the Putian Municipal Government and the State Power Investment Corporation Fujian Electric Power Co., Ltd. (hereafter referred to as “SPIC”) signed a cooperation framework agreement on building a heterojunction solar cell production industrial park. At the same time, the SPIC also signed a cooperation framework agreement with JP Solar Power (Fujian) Company Limited. for the joint development of a 5GW heterojunction (HJT) solar cell project. The investment total of the project is 4 billion yuan.

Li Jianhui, Major of Putian, said that heterojunction technology is a hot technology that has attracted much attention from the photovoltaic industry and has unlimited potential for future development. In recent years, Putian has seized market opportunities and took the creation of a national-level new energy industry innovation demonstration zone as an opportunity to actively deploy heterojunction high-efficiency solar cell industry projects. Li hoped that both parties will strengthen strategic cooperation, promote the adoption and application of a new generation of high-efficiency heterojunction solar cell technology, lead the development of the industry, and achieve mutually beneficial results.
Yan Houshan, General Manager of SPIC, expressed his gratitude to Putian Municipal Party Committee and government for their support of the project and talked about the company’s business development.
